The weather has been consistently miserable since before Christmas, wet and windy and really not the weather for taking a camera outside. It has been very frustrating. But at least it has been a good time to look over and organise old pictures. I like this picture very much. I was in Mongolia a few years ago, on a wonderful fishing trip – but that’s another story. We were driving through a small town in the north of the country when I saw this girl standing in front of a painting of what looks like a Christmas tree. It cannot actually be a Christmas tree but nevertheless it has a nice seasonal feel about it.
