The principal business of Queenstown is the delivery of adrenaline rushes. And there are a wide range of successful entrepreneurs finding ever more exotic ways of doing that. Bungee jumping was the first of these businesses and we had already decided to give that a miss (well it wasn’t much of a decision actually). But another long standing business is jet boating on the River Shotover, the Shotover Express for which we had been given tickets as a Christmas present (thank you Clive and Charlotte).

So off we went this morning with some apprehension to try the Shotover Express. Well, I’d do that again. It was a very exciting twenty minutes of fast moving action that was constantly exhilarating without ever feeling down right dangerous. Fabulous!
