We drove north today along Lake Wanaka and over the Haas Pass and beside the Haas River.

It was a great drive over a road which was only opened in 1965. At one point we stopped and waled down to the river and found some wonderful boulders polished by flood water, and beside then the start of lush rainforest. It was quite nice to take some photographs of other than huge landscapes!
