Morning sun

It was one of the wonderful autumn or winter mornings. There had been a hard frost, the sky was blue and the sun was still low in the sky. I just had to pick up the camera and get out of the house.

When you are first given a camera you are always told not to point it into the sun. But I increasingly find that is one of the best ways to put interest into otherwise nice but uninteresting views. And if you look at pictures from the 30s and 40s they were much bolder in their use of light and shadow than we typically are today. So this was experiment  of using the low sun to accentuate lightness and dark.

Comments welcome.
