While we were in Devon we staying in a hotel called Gidleigh Park, as the guest of some very kind and generous friends. I am not the man and this is not the place for a hotel review but I could not praise this hotel too highly. It was superb, distinguished more than anything else by the most extraordinarily good service from every single member of staff.
