I have written before (see here) about the wonderful photographs of Paulette Tavormina who has reinvented in photography the golden age of still life painting. Ever since I have been in Italy, looking at fruit and vegetables in the markets I have wanted to photograph them and I had the chance to play around with a selection today.

I haven’t tried to copy what she has done, but certainly found inspiration in her work. The results are of course very simple and unsophisticated compared to Paulette’s work but I hope you enjoy them.
