The image is constructed from elements captured in two different photo shoot over the past few weeks. It is inspired by a sculpture in the Musee D’Orsay called La Jeune Tarentine, itself inspired by a poem by Andre Chenier. The poems tells the story of a girl lost at sea on her way to be married, mourned by Thetis, her husband to be.
