Although the weather is still frustratingly unpredictable, and cold, the evidence is clear that a new season is emerging, spring reluctantly giving way to summer. The garden is filing with colour and some foolhardy ducks are trying to share the pond with the dogs. Meanwhile the trees still have that early season bright sparkle in the leaves which will dull soon enough.
