Despite our determined efforts to wish the weather better, it isn’t. It has been cold and grey most of today, with occasional heavy showers. In the last hour a few gaps in the cloud have appeared, and created some interesting light but there is no getting away from the reality that the weather is pour. I’m not sure it is much consolation that it is clearly much worse in parts of France and Germany.

The forecast tomorrow is for some improvement but it doesn’t look like it will really settle down before next week. Fingers crossed.
