I was out yesterday and spent time in this gentleman’s company. He is well known for cutting an arresting figure and for stylish dressing. He is also good company. I might say he is a dandy, as in “a man unduly devoted to style, neatness, and fashion in dress and appearance”. But there is more than a hint in the description that undue devotion to style is somehow inappropriate. I’m not sure I agree, so I’ll limit myself to saying that this is a gentlemen who thinks about his appearance.
I think the rest of us are rather in awe.
