At the end of the first day we eat and slept in one of the Refugios (essentially like a large youth hostel) before setting off the following day for a shorter walk along the side of Lago Grey to the head of Glaciar Grey. At the front of the glacier we were able to get a boat up close to the glacier before returning by boat.
Lago Grey is the front of a large icefield that spans several thousand square kilometres, one of the largest icefields outside of the poles. It seems to stretch for ever.
Only an 11km walk today!
