Islands beget islands, and off the east coast of Chileo there are a number of small islands, most of them populated and with their own wooden churches. Often these churches are in magical positions by the shore. Unfortunately we only had time to visit the biggest of these islands, the Isla Quinchao. It is about 30km long with two main towns, Curaco de Velez and Achao. It was lovely and we would have loved to stay longer.
