Police Piano Player at St Pancras

untitled shoot-150707- 24

In one of those small acts of creative genius that make the world a better place, someone decided to place a piano – two, in fact – in St Pancras station, right by the Eurostar arrivals. Congratulations and thanks to whoever it was. You have given a lot of people a little happiness.

I went there this morning for reasons which will become clear at a later date and was amazed to discover that the piano is in almost constant use. My favourite moment was when these two policewomen strolled past and one of them decided to show that she could play. And she could. It was a lovely, human moment just an hour before we all stopped to remember those who died in the inhumanity of 7/7.
