We arrived home from Italy this morning. Before flying this morning we spent last night in Fiesole, nestling in the hills above Florence. It was a hot, humid day and the visibility was poor. But even so you could immediately see why Fiesole is known for its views of Florence, and for the villas of the Florentine elite escaping the heat of the city.

Every time we visit Italy, we fall a little more in love with the country, its heritage and its people. And off course, we have only just scratched the surface. There are so many more places still to see. It will not be long before we are back.
