The Temple of Concord. Some sites are best photographed from a distance and that is undoubtedly true of this temple. It is difficult to appreciate its scale or setting from close up. I had to take some editing liberties with this to remove distractions but decided to leave the boxes to the left of the temple which were displaying a modern Italian video stream which was truly unnecessary.
This close up, taken earlier in the day, gives some sense of the position of the temple at the top of an escarpment which formed a natural defensive wall for the whole site.
