City light

I went to see the Picasso 1932 exhibition at Tate Modern yesterday. It is an extraordinary show, the response of the C20’s most important artist to his personal mid-life crisis; but more of that at a future date.

When I emerged from the Tate there was a wonderful late afternoon light showing the City of London at its enervating best, bathed in light against a backdrop of dark clouds. It was a view which made you glad to be alive.
